Listed in RGASPI files as killed on 19 August 1938 at Sierra Pandols According to Tom Murray, he was hit by a shell that also killed George Jackson and Malcolm Smith. (IM p.318). Information given to his parents suggests he died of his wounds on 15th August 1938.
