Comments: Followed her husband, George Green to Spain, where he was killed at the Ebro. Helped organise the Valdeganga convalescent home with Frank Ayres. Served as a medical administrator at Huete, Valdeganga, and Uclés, then on the Ebro front. She also had an unfortunate run-in with an Austrian doctor called Krushmar who had sexual designs on her and, when rebuffed, accused her of being a Trotskyist. Accompanied a group of Republican child refugees to Mexico. 1943-1950 Secretary of the International Brigade Association. Dedicated her life to progressive causes. A short lived second marriage to communist journalist Ted Brake ended in 1960.
