International Brigade Sites in Madrid: the Spanish Civil War by Ken O'Keefe and AABI.
This book is intended to inform the reader of places in Madrid that were directly or indirectly connected with the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. The book is organized around three guided routes. The red route indicates memorial sites the three battalions of the XI IB passed on November 8, 1936 from Atocha Station to their positions assigned by the command that day. The yellow route traces different places frequented by the brigadiers on the rare occasion they were given leave from arduous warfare. The purple route mainly indicates sites that reveal the extent of international support for the Republican cause. Accompanying the book is a map displaying the three routes with summary information on each site.
