Some dos and don’ts for creating an International Brigade memorial

Post date: 15/11/2017

The Oxford International Brigade Memorial Committee has drawn up an advice paper for other International Brigade groups planning to erect a memorial to their local volunteers who went to Spain.

The Oxford group successfully raised more than £25,000 for their memorial, which was unveiled in June this year. It honours the 31 men and women from Oxfordshire who joined the International Brigades.

The dos and don’ts contains useful details on the costs involved and tips on how to raise the necessary funds. It can be downloaded here: DosDonts.doc
