Ken Loach confirmed for 10 June in Oxford

Post date: 05/06/2016

The IBMT and Magdalen Film Society are delighted to be hosting Ken Loach for a charity screening on Friday 10 June of his seminal and controversial film 'Land and Freedom' (1995), followed by a live Q&A.

Ken Loach will be joining us in Oxford fresh from his latest triumph at the Cannes Film Festival, where he won the Palme d'Or for his new film ‘I, Daniel Blake’.

The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with Ken Loach, IBMT Oxfordshire committee member Ed Ayers, Oxfordshire IBMT chair Colin Carritt and Magdalen Film Society president James Riding (and others yet to be announced). If you would like to pose a question, please email magdalenfilmsociety@gmail.com prior to the event.

All ticket proceeds will go towards the IBMT's Oxford volunteers project to memorialise the Oxford citizens who fought, served and died in Spain in the 1930s.

Tickets are open to everyone, not just members of the Magdalen Film Society. Tickets for the general public are scheduled to be released by the end of 5 June.

Doors open at the Magdalen Auditorium at 5pm. Please make an effort to be seated by 5:20. There will be strictly no further admittance after 5:30. The event finishes at 8.30pm.
