Funding for International Brigade archive

The Marx Memorial Library in London has been awarded a grant of £27,841 from the National Archives to catalogue its International Brigade archive and other material documenting the British response to the Spanish Civil War. 

Supported by the IBMT, the successful funding application will make the archive’s catalogue available online and accessible to new generations of researchers. The project will start early in 2017 and run for a year. 

As a consequence of this funding being acquired, the IBMT is committed to donating its own archival collections to the MML and to co-funding educational work to publicise the MML’s Spanish Civil War archive.
