Books of the year from the IBMT

Post date: 29/12/2015

Among the 2015 books of the year chosen by the Morning Star were two that the IBMT played a hand in publishing.

“No Other Way: Oxfordshire and the Spanish Civil War 1936-39”, by Chris Farman, Valery Rose and Liz Wooley, is described as “a wonderful example of what a group of local activists can achieve when they pool their talents and hard work”. The book was published by the IBMT.

Written by the British Battalion’s political commissar at the 1938 Battle of the Ebro, Bob Cooney’s Spanish Civil War memoir “Proud Journey” is “a great inspiration”, says the daily newspaper. The book is published by the Marx Memorial Library and Manifesto Press in association with the IBMT and Unite the Union.

Both books cost £5 plus £3 p&p and can be ordered respectively from John Haywood, 1 Queen Rd, Banbury OX16 0EB, with cheques made out to the IBMT; and from Marx Memorlal Library, 37a Clerkenwell Green, London EC1R 0DU, with cheques made out to the MML.
