9 May SALFORD – 'Patriots & Partisans': talks on anti-fascist resistance and forces of the 1930s and '40s, including British and Irish volunteers in the Spanish Civil War. Speakers from the Communist Party of Britain, the Young Communist League, Associazione Nazionale Partigiani d' Italia (ANPI), the James Connolly League and the North-West International Brigade Memorial Group. 7pm to 8.30pm; Working Class Movement Library, 51 Crescent, Salford M5 4WX.
