4 October: Remembering the Battle of Cable Street in London's East End

4 October LONDON – Join the IBMT contingent on the march and rally to mark the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, when fascist Blackshirts were prevented from marching through the Jewish area of Whitechapel. As well as the IBMT banner, we will be carrying placards naming the Cable Street protesters who went on to join the International Brigades. Assemble at 12pm at Tower Hamlets Town Hall, 160 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1BJ, where speakers will include IBMT Secretary Megan Dobney, for a march setting off at 1pm and ending at St George’s Gardens on Cable Street.
