The Belfast-based International Brigade Commemoration Committee holds its Annual General Meeting at the Falls Road Library, 49 Falls Road, Belfast BT12 4PD from 9.45am followed by the launch of the booklet ‘Blueshirts and Blackshirts in Ireland North & South’ by Dr Brian Hanley (10.15am), the placing a plaque to the men from the Falls area who went to fight fascism in Spain by relatives of the International Brigaders and Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast Paul Doherty (10.45am) and refreshments (11.50am-12.45pm).
