The IBMT has added a batch of new photos to our online database of volunteers, which contains entries for nearly 2,400 International Brigaders from Britain and Ireland.
This new photo update is thanks to the voluntary work of IBMT member Mick Brunton, and help from Kevin Buyers, who has shared many of the photos from his comprehensive online collection.
The IBMT would like to make another call to family members and friends to submit any photos they may have of International Brigaders so that they can be added to our database. These should be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to the office: IBMT, 37a Clerkenwell Green, London, EC1R 0DU.
Our volunteers database is the result of many years of work by the late Jim Carmody, IBMT archivist, and IBMT Historical Consultant Richard Baxell. The database is fully searchable and contains basic information about each individual, such as name, birthplace, occupation and so on. It can be accessed here.
